I determined my brand values to be inspiring, clean, simple and fresh.

It was important to me to keep the app looking modern and relevant to my proto persona. I wanted to appeal to users' design sensibilities, and show them the world of gardening in a form closer to their style than the dirty-fingernailed, hippy vibes they may associate with gardening.
